Just days after Cardi B revealed she’s expecting her first child with NFL star Stefon Diggs, the Buffalo Bills wide receiver is facing a different kind of headline — paternity drama.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Instagram model and Fashion Nova ambassador Aileen Lopera — better known online as Lord Gisselle — filed a petition in Los Angeles Superior Court back in December 2024, claiming Diggs is the father of her baby girl.
At the time, Lopera was still pregnant, but she listed Diggs as the “parent” of her unborn child and requested full legal and physical custody. She asked that Diggs be limited to visitation rights, while also demanding he cover pregnancy and birth expenses, plus attorney’s fees.
Lopera has since given birth to Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera on April 2, 2025. In July, Diggs responded in court, stating he was “not certain” about fatherhood and requested a genetic test. If proven to be the father, he is seeking joint custody and to split all medical and legal costs.
The case surfaced just as Cardi B went public with her pregnancy news during an interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings. Cardi told viewers:
“I’m excited, I’m happy, I feel like I’m in a good space.”
This comes on the heels of her messy split from Offset, where she accused the Migos rapper of being a deadbeat and leaving her with unpaid bills. Now, as Cardi prepares to welcome a child with Diggs, the NFL star is simultaneously fighting to clarify whether he fathered another.
For now, all eyes are on the results of the DNA test — while Cardi focuses on her growing family and gearing up for her upcoming tour.
What do you think? Will this drama shake Cardi and Diggs’ relationship, or will they power through?
